Tests and Adjustments
Neutral Switch Adjustment
1.
Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2.
Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable at the
battery.
Figure 5-11
The mower has a proximity switch (1) located on the
traction pump, which signals the controller when the
traction pedal is in the Neutral position. The proximity
switch has a red LED to signal when the switch contacts
are closed.
To adjust the neutral switch:
1.
Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position to provide
power to the neutral switch (1). Do not start the
engine.
2.
Loosen switch hardware (2). Adjust the neutral switch
(1) as required to get an 1/
8
to 3/16 in. (0.3 to 0.5 cm)
air gap between the switch and the switch arm (3).
Tighten switch hardware.
3.
Loosen the traction cable hardware (4) and the
damper hardware (5). Adjust the bracket (3) until the
bracket is centered under the sensing portion of the
switch (6). The switch contacts will close and the red
LED will turn on. Tighten hardware (4 and 5).
Speed Stop Adjustments
1.
Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2.
Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable at the
battery.
Figure 5-12
The traction pedal has three pedal stops to limit the
speed of the mower.
The forward transport speed stop (1) is used to set the
maximum transport speed. Make sure the mow speed
lever (2) is in the transport position. Loosen nut (3) and
adjust the stop to set the desired speed. Tighten the nut.
The forward mow speed stop (4) is used to set the
maximum mow speed. Rotate the mow speed lever (2) to
the mow position. Loosen nut (5) and adjust the stop to
set the desired speed. Tighten the nut.
The reverse speed stop (6) is used to set the maximum
reverse transport speed. Loosen nut (7) and adjust the
stop to set the desired speed.
