The motor should be kept clean of debris and other accumulations.
•
Keep all guards and deflectors in a good working condition.
•
Stand clear of discharge chute at all times.
•
Do not over reach and keep face and body back from the feed opening.
•
Never pull the machine by the power cord and keep the cord away from water or sharp edges.
•
Disconnect the power cord when the machine is not in use.
Caution:
Read and understand the safety instructions in this manual before using your
shredder. Failure to comply may result in accidents involving fire, electric shock, or serious
personal injury.
Connect the plug to power point.
The collectorbox must be mounted when the shredder is in use. The handle must be up before the
shredder works (Figure 3).
Start the shredder by turning the ON/OFF switch to right direction (Figure 1, 9). The switch are
fitted with a lockfunction, it is necessary to push the lock forward to release the switch (Figure 5).
Turn off the shredder by turning the switch to left.
It is possible to change the working direction of the knife. This is done by turning the switch to left.
The lockfunction on the switch must be pushed back to release the switch (Figure 6)
If an extension cord is used make sure it is for outdoor use and marked as such. The
recommended size of extension cord is not lighter than 2.5 mm² and a maximum of 10 m in length.
Shredding and mulching is achieved by natural suction of the debris through the blade chamber.
If a finer type mulch is required than is initially achieved re-feed the mulch through again until the
desired result is obtained. Do not overfeed and do not feed wet, soggy material into the shredder
as this may clog the blade chamber and the discharge chute.
Suitable material : All organic garden waste.
It may be necessary to remove sidebranches on the material to fit inside the funnel.
Overload
Jamming:
If over feeding clogs the machine, the overload protection feature will activate. In this
situation the motor will stop automatically
Do not attempt to reset the shredder until the blockage has been cleared.
1. Remove the plug from the electric circuit.
2. Release the 4 bolts fixing the frontcover (Figure 7)
3. Release the jammed material
4. Re-mount the front cover.
Warning:
Wear gloves and keep well clear of the blade. Once the blockage has been cleared securely
replace front cover.
Connect the plug in the electric circuit.
Press the “Reset” (figure 1,7)
Continue working with the shredder.
