Hardware Overview
If not already assembled, the basic hardware setup for the TMP007EVM involves connecting the TMP007
test board to the SM-USB-DIG and then connecting the SM-USB-DIG to the computer. This section
describes the details of this procedure.
3.1
Typical Hardware Connections
Connect the right-angle female socket on the TMP007 test board to the right angle male header on the
SM-USB-DIG. Take special care to ensure that the two 10-pin sockets directly align with each other. Make
sure that all connectors are properly aligned and pushed together firmly. Loose connections may cause
intermittent operation.
Afterwards, plug the SM-USB-DIG to the computer. A green LED light indicates that the SM-USB-DIG is
powered up, as shown in
. Always connect the two boards together before connecting the USB
cable to avoid any issues if the connectors are misaligned. The device is not operational if the connectors
are misaligned.
