C Address Selection
As mentioned previously in the BUF16821EVM-USB Features section (see Section 3.7 ), jumper JMP5 is
used to set the I
2
C address pin of the BUF16821. Figure 15 shows how both the hardware and software
must be set to allow for communication between the BUF16821EVM-USB and the software. Without
jumper JMP5 and the software address button configured correctly, the software will not be able to
communicate with the BUF16821 device.
