2.2
Basics
The following section describes basic actions to communicate to the BQ79606A EVM's.
2.2.1
Address
Allows the user to select broadcast read/write, stack read/write, or select the device address for a single
read/write.
Use the dropdown to choose the communication type to be used. For most cases, the default “broadcast”
choice will suffice (it will work for a single device or stacked devices.
2.2.2
Device Addressing
Device addressing configures the start and end address for “auto” addressing, or configures GPIO
addressing.
Before beginning any other portion of the guide, ensure that the device(s) have been correctly auto-
addressed using the “Run Auto Address” button. This ensures that all devices are started properly and all
future commands are sent to the appropriate devices.
