Working with Pro-Trim:
KEEP A SAFETY DISTANCE OF 10 METRES!
TEXAS Pro-Trim 600 has been designed as a big brushcutter
which is able to work in almost all types of vegetation. The
trimmer head of the machine runs clock-wise. This means that
cut material will be thrown to the right.
Thanks to the low centre of gravity and wide distance between
wheels the machine can work on slopes with a gradient of up to
15%. You should avoid to operate on slopes with a gradient
higher than 15% for a longer time period as the motor will then
lack lubrication and thus be damaged.
When operating along bushes, hedges and rails, the trimmer
wheels can be pivoted to the side to obtain more operating area
at the sides. The machine is swung by releasing the string and at
the same time pressing the wheels into the right position with the
foot.
DO NOT RELEASE THE SWING MECHANISM
UNLESS THE TRIMMER HEAD HAS BEEN STOPPED
Work with the machine to a degree where it can still keep the
revolutions. Avoid to let it run so that the revolutions become
very low as this will reduce the cutting function of the trimmer
lines considerably.
Cutting height/change of trimmer line:
The standard is two cutting heights. When the trimmer lines are
placed in the holes on top of the trimmer head the cutting height
is approx. 65 mm (1) and when the trimmer lines are placed in
the holes under the trimmer head, the cutting height is approx.
45 mm (2).
DO NOT CHANGE THE TRIMMER LINES UNLESS THE
MOTOR HAS BEEN STOPPED AND THE TRIMMER HEAD
STANDS!
Adjust the lever:
The machine has been fitted with a clutch. It is therefore
important to check frequently, that the clutch as well as
activation functions work properly.
When the connection lever (1) is released, the trimmer head will
stopped. When the connection lever is held against the
handlebar, the spring in the other end of the clutch cable shall
be compressed by 15 to 20 mm.
IF THE CLUTCH GIVES WAY WHILE WORKING,
THEN STOP IMMEDIATELY AND ADJUST THE CABLE
Cleaning the machine and motor:
When the machine operates, a lot of grass etc. will be gathered
around the machine. Clean the area around the motor daily to
