Using position 2 on Fig. 2 you can park a
trailer under the splitter to collect the
wood directly after splitting
.
On both sides of the handles arms have
been mounted to fasten the logs when
the piston moves back.
Mounting the cable in the inlet.
Push the red safety stop button back and
the lid can be opened. See Fig. 7
Hereinafter the machine can be started.
When the safety button is pressed down,
the machine stops. Fig. 7
Switching the phase.
If he engine on the log splitter is running
but the piston is not moving it typical
means, that one of the phases are not
correct. This can be changed by applying
a screwdriver and turn 180 degrees
around the clock. See Fig. 7
Starting and maintenance
Lubricate with some oil in the piston
tunnel on all 4 sides.
Lubricate also with some oil on the 4 top
sides.
Lubrication shall be repeated after every
4 cubic meters.
Also remember to inspect the oil level in
the tank.
Please read the following
All repairs must be conducted on an
authorized workshop and not by the
owner/costumer.
The owner / buyer accepts all risks and
dangers by doing this on their own.
Due to continues product development
Texas A/S reserves the right to improve
the product without being obligated to
improve already sold models.
Recommended hydraulic oil
Checking the hydraulic oil level, see
Fig. 8.
We recommend the following oil to the
hydraulic cylinder: Texamatic 7045,
viscosity 33,8. Art. no. 90306479.
Or oil with corresponding viscosity
Operation
Recommended size of logs to be split
The diameter of the log is only indicative.
A small piece of wood can be difficult to
split if it has knots or if its fibres are very
tough. A larger piece of wood can be split
if its fibres are smooth and loose.
Never force the log splitter to split more
than 5 seconds with the cylinder under
pressure in order to split excessively hard
wood. Overheated oil under pressure
may damage the machine. It is very
important that if the log splitter does not
split in the first attempt, please stop the
machine and rotate the log 90 degrees. If
the wood still cannot be split, it means
that the hardness of the wood exceeds
the capacity of the machine and it must
be rejected in order not to damage the log
splitter.
Splitting Instructions
Splitting with tilted surface, se Fig. 9
When splitting both handles must be
used.
The Machine comes with two wedges.
(see Fig. 6)
Base plate Fig. 1L with wedge mounted
on the piston head Fig 1C
Is used during vertical splitting, typical
larger logs.
