Subwoofer controls

 

On/Standby

With this button, you can select whether the sub-
woofer is permanently on “On” (LED 3 is green) or 
on standby. In “Standby” mode, (LED 3 is red).

 

Level

This  controls  the  subwoofer's  volume.  Press 
the “Level +” button to increase the volume, or 
press the “Level -” button to reduce the volume. 
Whenever you change to volume, LED 3 is flashing  
rapidly.

 

Frequency

This  button  bypasses  the  frequency  control  on 
the subwoofer's real panel. In this case, LED 1 is 
red. LED 1 is lit up whenever the subwoofer is in 
THX “Fullrange”  mode.  This  is  the  recommended 
setting  if  you  are  running  the  subwoofer  off  an 
AV receiver.

 

Phase 

Press  this  button  to  change  the  phase  of  the 
subwoofer signal from “0 degrees” (LED 2 is off) 
to “180  degrees” (LED  2  is  green).  In  “Fullrange” 
mode, the phase is locked to “0 degrees”. LED 2 is 
always off when “Fullrange” mode is active.

 

Mute

Press this button to instantly mute the subwoof-
er. While the subwoofer is muted, LED 3 is green 
and  flashing.  Press  the  button  again  to  unmute 
the signal and return the subwoofer to its opera-
tional state (LED 3 is permanently green).

Remote control

The M 9500 SW subwoofer is controlled entirely 
via the supplied infrared remote control. All the 
different  settings  are  indicated  by  the  LEDs  on 
the front of the cabinet.
