INSTRUCTION MANUAL

When using electrical appliances, basic safety 
precautions should always be followed, including the 
following:
•  The power cord on this product is not replaceable by 

the user. If it is damaged it must only be replaced by a 
qualified electrician.

•  This appliance is not intended for use by persons 

(including children) with reduced physical, sensory 
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and 
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision 
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a 
person responsible for their safety.

•  Boiling water and steam can cause serious burns. 

Always place the appliance on a stable, flat surface.

•  Only use with the power base supplied.
•  Before connecting to the power outlet make sure 

that the voltage indicated on the rating label, located 
on the bottom of the power base, is the same as the 
supply voltage in your home. If not, do not use the 
appliance and return it to your dealer.

•  To prevent electrical hazards, never put the kettle or 

power base in water or any other liquid, and do not 
allow water to enter the electrical parts.

•  Keep the kettle and its power cord out of the reach of 

children and pets. Close supervision is required when 
the appliance is used near children.

•  The exterior of the appliance will get very hot during 

use. Always take care when handling. Never lift the 
appliance by the lid. Always use the handle.

•  Always ensure the appliance is switched off before 

removing from the power base and unplugged from 
the socket before cleaning or when not in use.

•  Beware of steam being emitted from the spout or lid, 

especially during refilling.

•  This appliance is intended for normal household use 

only. It must not be used for anything other than its 
intended purpose.

•  Do not use this appliance outdoors.
•  Do not place the appliance on or near any potentially 

hot surfaces e.g. oven hobs.

•  Do not allow the power cord to overhang from work 

surfaces, or to touch hot surfaces or to become 
knotted.

•  Do not operate this appliance if the power cord or 

plug are damaged, or if the appliance malfunctions 
or is damaged in anyway. Check the power cord 
regularly for signs of damage/wear.

• 

Attention

: Use the cover while the appliance is 

running. Do not open the lid whilst the kettle is boiling.

•  Do not fill the kettle above the MAX mark. Boiling 

water may splash out if overfilled.

•  To avoid possible steam damage, turn spout away 

from walls.

•  The appliance contains no user-serviceable parts

1. Remove all packing from the kettle and its power 

base. Before using the kettle for the first time, r if it 
has been out of use for a long time fill to the max 
mark and boil, then discard the boiled water and 
rinse the kettle out with cold water.

2. Before connecting the appliance to the mains 

supply check that the voltage indicated on the rating 
plate corresponds with the mains voltage in your 
home.
