7 Dismantling and disposal
Once the equipment has reached the end of its life, it must be dismantled and disposed
of in an environmentally responsible manner.
7.1 Safety notes for dismantling and disposal
INCORRECT DISMANTLING WARNING!
Risk of injury through incorrect dismantling!
Residual energy storage, residual gas, sharp
edged components, tips and corners on and
in the equipment or on the tools may cause
injury.
THEREFORE:
- Wear personal protective equipment
- Before removing, rinse the unit with inert
gas if necessary
- Dismantle the unit properly
- Dismantle the components properly
- Secure the components to prevent them
falling or toppling over.
7.2 Dismantling
• Turn the hand knob anticlockwise until it
stops.
• Disconnect the bonnet from the body.
• Unscrew the valve unit from the body.
• Disassemble the bonnet assembly into its
component parts.
• Disassemble the valve assembly unit into its
component parts
NOTE!
Then dismantle the components properly and
in compliance with applicable local health
and safety and environmental protection
regulations.
