VCMC15 Vacuum Cleaner User Guide

When you have finished vacuuming:

•  Switch off, unplug the cleaner and rewind the power cord.
•  Empty the dust cup and clean the dust cup filter

Emptying the Dust Cup

Empty the dust cup
regularly during
vacuuming, and

always

after vacuuming to
maintain efficient
cleaning performance.
The maximum dirt level
is reached when the dirt
reaches the MAX mark
which is on the Dust Cup. You should empty the Dust before it reaches
this level.

Failure to do this will impair the efficiency of the cleaner.

Switch the cleaner off
and unplug it.
Press the dust cup re-
lease and then carefully
remove the dust cup
from the cleaner.

Invert the dust cup over a bin. Press the
catch on the lid which will pop open.
Shake and tap the dust cup lightly to
remove as much dust as possible.
Close the lid.
If you wish to continue vacuuming, replace
the cup.
If you have finished vacuuming refer to the
Cleaning instructions on the next page.

Cleaning the Main Filter and SMS Filter

The SMS filter stops nearly all dust particles and airborne allergens from
re-entering the air you breathe. This filter fits into the top of the main
filter. Clean the filters every time you use the cleaner. Failure to do this
will impair performance and may damage the cleaner motor.
The SMS filter will discolour over time. This is normal and provided the
filter is kept clean, performance will not be adversely affected.

Removing and replacing the lid of the dust cup.

Hold the dust cup firmly
and rotate the lid towards
the “UNLOCK”  icon as
shown to open.
Remove the lid and keep
it safe.
To replace the lid, place it
on the dust cup and rotate
so that the tab on the lid is
over the the “LOCK” icon.

Removing the SMS Filter:

The filter is under
the lid

.

There is a flap in
the top of the filter
to help you remove
the filter. Hold the
flap in your thumb
and forefinger and
then lift the SMS
filter out.

There are hand
grips in the top of
the filter assembly
to help you remove
the filter easily.

Hold the filter assem-
bly with the hand
grips and then lift
the filter out.
