DESCALING THE COFFEE MAKER
Use a descaler recommended for Coffee Makers.
Do not place the filter or the filter holder in the machine.
1.
Fill the tank with water and descaler to the “10” level

(approx.1.25L).
The proportion of water and descaler is 4:1, (or as directed in
the descaler instructions). Close the lid.
Place the jug centrally on the hotplate.

The spring valve in the filter holder should engage with the
aperture in the jug lid.
Press the Mains On/Off Button.

The button will light up showing the unit is operational.
The water will now percolate through the filter and into

the jug.
When the equivalent of one cup has entered the jug,

switch the machine off.
Leave the solution to work for 15 minutes.
Repeat steps 3-6 once more.

After the second operation, switch the appliance on

and run off the water until the water tank is completely
empty.
Empty the jug.

Rinse the appliance by operating the brewing cycle using

fresh water at least 3 times.
Switch the coffee maker off, empty the jug, wash it

thoroughly in warm soapy water and rinse it well.

places in the appliance.
