GETTING STARTED

FM RADIO AERIAL

Before  using  your  unit  for  FM  reception,  unwrap  and  fully 
extend the aerial wire. You may need to adjust the position of 
the aerial wire for maximum signal strength.

CONNECTING POWER

Check that the mains voltage marked on the rating plate

on the back panel is the same as the voltage in your area.
Plug the mains plug into the wall socket. 

• 

Switch the mains power on at the socket. 

• 

SETTING THE VOLUME

To increase the volume

Turn the

VOL

 control knob clockwise.

To decrease the volume

Turn the 

• 

VOL

 control knob anti-clockwise.

As you adjust the volume, the volume level will be displayed on a 
scale of 00 (minimum) to 32 (maximum).

STANDBY CONTROL

To turn the system on

Press the

button.

The display will light and the system will switch on.

To turn the system off

Press the 

• 

 button.

The system will switch off.

LISTENING TO FM RADIO

Selecting FM mode

Press the

MODE

 button repeatedly until ‘FM’ is displayed.

The display will show the tuned frequency.

RADIO PRESETS

Your  radio  can  store  up  to  20  of  your  favourite  stations  as  
presets for quick recall.

Auto store

Auto store will search the band and store all stations found as 
presets.

The  radio  will  scan  the  band,  searching  for  stations.  As  each 
station is found it will be stored as a preset. Once the scan is 
completed, the radio will tune to the first station found.

To store a preset manually

Tune to the station you want to store as a preset.

PROGRAM/MEMORY

 button.

The display will flash ‘PROG’ above ‘P’ followed by two digits, 
prompting for a preset number. For example, P01 is preset 01.

Station search

Press and

the band. The radio will stop automatically when the next 
station is reached. 

Manual step tuning

Press the

 to step up or down the 

band in 50kHz steps.

If you can hear a lot of background noise when playing the 
station, the signal may be weak.
You may be able to improve the signal strength by adjusting 
the position of the FM aerial wire.
