POSITIONING THE GRILL
Site your BBQ Grill on a firm, flat, heat-resistant
•
work surface. Steam given off by the cooking
process may mark or damage anything above
or around the grill. Ensure these areas are kept
clear.
In order to avoid possible fire hazards keep
•
areas above and around the grill clear. Leave a
clear space all round the grill, and keep it as far
back from the front edge of the work surface as
possible.
Do not put the grill or the mains lead close to
•
any other cooking or heating appliance.
Unwrap the power cord fully.
•
Place the grill near a switched wall socket.
•
Always keep the power cord well clear of the
•
grill rack.
PRELIMINARIES
Before using your grill for the first time
disassemble and clean the appliance:
Hold the grill securely and lift the element

together with the grill rack off the grill.
Separate the element and the grill rack.

Remove the Element From the Grill.

Remove the drip tray from the base.

The drip tray and the grill rack should be well

washed in warm soapy water, rinsed thor-
oughly and then carefully dried. The base of the
appliance should be wiped with a wet cloth and
then carefully dried.
Clean the heater element. Follow the illustration

Remove the element. Dip the element in warm
soapy water, Lightly brush the surface with a soft
cleaning brush.
Repeat the process using clean water and then
dry the element fully with a soft towel or kitchen
paper.
NEVER allow water to contact the control unit or
power cord.
If you need to clean the control unit, wipe it with

a damp cloth and dry fully before operating the
grill.
When all components are clean and dry re-
assemble the unit.
