PUTTING INTO OPERATION
• Make sure that the dust collecting container (21) is housed and properly mounted in
the seat (11).
• Always make sure that the filters (19), (23) and (24) are installed before using the
appliance (refer to “Cleaning and Maintenance” paragraph).
• Pull the power cord (18) from its seat and until to pull it out for its entire length. On the
cable, a yellow notch indicates the ideal length of use. A red mark, instead, indicates
the maximum limit of extension. Do not exceed this limit.
• Insert the plug into the power outlet and press the ON button (14) to start the appliance.
• Turning the power control button (14) it is possible to adjust the vacuuming power (Fig. 2).
• While in use, to change the vacuuming level, slide forward or backward the cursor (3)
on the handle (2) of the hose.
• Using the holder (17) it is also possible to attach the brush (7) to the back of the
appliance, during the stops (Fig. 3).
WARNING!
• Do not vacuum flammable or explosive material, such as burning cigarettes or ashes
produced by combustion (fireplaces or stoves).
• Do not use the appliance on wet or damp surfaces.
• Do not vacuum water or other liquids.
• Do not obstruct the air ventilation outlets at the rear of the appliance.
• Do not vacuum sharp objects.
• Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces, do not let it come into contact with sharp
edges and do not make it slide on abrasive surfaces.
• Do not use the appliance on the body parts of people or animals.
• When using, do not slide the appliance on the power cord.
• When carrying the appliance use exclusively the appropriate handle (16).
• To avoid dangerous overheating it is recommended:
- to fully extend the power cord.
- to check that the dust collecting container (21) is not full.
- to verify that the filters (19) and (24) are not obstructed and that the tubes are not
clogged.
• The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a thermal protection thermostat which stops the
operation in case of motor overheating. If the thermostat intervenes, the vacuum cleaner
stops, unplug the vacuum cleaner from the mains, check that the various filters are not
clogged and allow to cool.
• If the vacuuming is insufficient or nothing, empty and clean the dust collecting container
(21) as indicated in the related paragraph, clean the filters (19) and (24) or remove any
obstructions in the tubes.
