Setup
Fundamentals
The setup section provides instructions for setting
up the generator set in the work place so it can be
used safely.
It is the operator's responsibility to follow all the
safety rules and instructions in the operator's
manual.
Move the generator set to the desired location with
the following in mind:
•
The spot where the generator set is positioned
should be relatively level.
•
The location selected should be centrally
located to the equipment requiring the loads to
minimize voltage drop in the power cord.
•
Locate the machine so the power cords can be
routed without crossing roads and access
routes.
•
Locate the machine where the engine will get
proper ventillation. Avoid locations where fumes
can enter a building.
•
Do not place the machine beside a building wall
that would reflect and intensify noise.
