PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
AFTER UNCRATING AND BEFORE OPERATING THE
MACHINE:
1. Check the machine for shipping damage.
2. Read this manual carefully before operating or
servicing the machine.
WARNING: Do not operate the machine
until you have read and understood the
operating instructions and are properly trained.
Failure to do so could result in severe personal
injury.
3. Check the hydraulic fluid level in the hydraulic
fluid reservoir using the sight gauge provided.

hydraulic fluid is not available,
use only new---approved hydraulic fluid. See
Hydraulics in the Maintenance section.
4. Check the engine oil level.
5. Check the radiator coolant level.
WARNING: If the coolant is hot or if the
engine has been operating, let the engine
cool. Hot coolant could scald or cause severe
burns. If in doubt, let the coolant cool before
releasing pressure in the cooling system.
6. Check the brush adjustment, as described in
Maintenance section.
7. Fill the fuel tank.
