4. OPERATION
Used together with the TEMA amplifiers of the AD300 series, the AD696/A microphone base allows an operator to
transmit a message to a network of loudspeakers for alerts or announcements.
At the base of the sponge wind cap there is located a red plastic ring. This is illuminated to signal that the
microphone base is on, ready to output a message, the microphone is open, "On air".
Every operator who has the AD696/A microphone base can spread an announcement on the network speaker in a
simple way:
•
Set the switch on the base in position "I" to turn on the base
•
Speak immediately after switching on clearly and quietly to give the announcement
•
At the end of the announcement, switch off the base by turning the switch to the "0" position
or
•
Set the switch on the base in position "I" to turn on the base
•
Press the button to issue the warning start tone (typical "chime")
•
Speak immediately after switching on clearly and quietly to give the announcement
•
At the end of the announcement, switch off the base by turning the switch to the "0" position
At the end of the message, make sure to turn off the base (switch in position "0") to "close" the microphone so that
it does not capture ambient noise or anything else that would involuntarily be played to the sound equipment.
