Appendix A Configuring PC wireless security
1.
Click
Start
=>
Settings
=>
Control Panel
(The Control Panel should be in
Classic view
).
Double click on the
Network Connections
icon.
2.
Right click on the
Local Area Connection
for wired or
Wireless Network Connection
for
wireless connection and select
Properties
.
3.
In the tab
General
Scroll down to
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
and press
Properties
.
4.
Select
Obtain IP address automatically
and
Obtain DNS server address automatically
if
they are not selected.
5.
Click
OK
to close Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) properties.
6.
Choose
Wireless Networks
tab. Make sure that box
Use Windows to configure my wireless
network settings
is checked and Click
View Wireless Networks
