Outbound Message Guidelines
As mentioned above the inbound canned message codes can be 0-255 and are sent as part
of the FCM 220 message structure. From these available 256 message codes the
following considerations must be made:
•
The MDT can support up to 40 canned outbound messages.
•
The MDT allows codes 1-6 to control its outputs.
•
The Prism TM can use any of the 256 codes for script controls and
commands.
•
The Prism TM passes all 256 message codes to the MDT thus causing the
MDT to display text if the message is understood by the MDT.
•
The RF VLU allows message codes 80-143 to control its output, however
only 20 of the codes are utilized (80-84, 96-100, 112-116 and 128-132).
