Decoder confi guration pages are accessible also over
the ATM network by utilising In-Band Management. This
feature allows the user to confi gure all Encoders and Decoders
in the network from one location. Locally you connect to the
DVX bus but in remote location the connection is established
either with an ATM network interface card or via EASI
TM
ATM
Node Ethernet connection.
The only addressable port is the ATM port. This is the address
of the Decoder and it has to be unique in the whole network.
When you set or change this address make sure that the
address does not exist somewhere else in the network.
There are two confi gurable VPI/VCI pairs for the In-Band
Management data. The Decoder listens to both of these pairs
set in this window. They allow to confi gure each Decoder to be
part of two different management groups.
All changes in settings should be confi rmed by
pressing Apply .
