3. bEFoRE FIRsT UsE
3.1 Note
Some buttons have multiple functions. In order to keep the
text easier to read, buttons are referred to in an abbreviated
version only.
Example:
The Power (On / Standby) / Alarm off (1) button is
referred to as the (1) button on the following pages.
3.2 Unpacking
Remove all packaging.
Check for the presence of all parts and for transport damage.
In case of damage or incomplete delivery, please contact your
dealer ( Warranty).
Please keep the packaging. The appliance can be stored in it if
it is not used for a longer period of time.
Place the appliance on a level, stable, clean and dry surface.
Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation. Keep a minimum
distance of 5 cm between the product and other objects or
walls.
3.3 Power supply
Connect the power cord (16) to a suitable wall outlet. Make
sure that the power supply voltage and frequency (230 V~
50 Hz) is the same as needed for the appliance.
The display automatically lights up.
This unit is equipped with a battery back up system
( Backup battery).
Note:
Even if the radio is not turned on, a small amount of
power is used to display the time. Unplug the power cord
and remove the backup battery before leaving the appliance
unused for a long period of time.
3.4 backup battery
The values set for clock and alarm are protected against a
power failure by the backup battery.
However, the alarm and audio functions ( Operation) will not
work when the power is supplied only by the backup battery.
Unplug the appliance before installing or replacing the battery.
