battery safety instructions

Danger of explosion!
Batteries may not be charged, re-
activated by other means, disassembled, thrown into fire or
short-circuited.
2. Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures, like
direct sunlight or fire. Do not place the appliance on any
heat source. Leaking battery acid may cause harm.
3. If the battery should leak, remove it with a cloth from the
battery compartment. Dispose of battery according to the
regulations. If battery acid has leaked avoid contact to
skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Rinse affected areas
immediately after contact with the acid and wash with
plenty of clean water. Visit a physician.

Caution!
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly
replaced. Replace battery only with the same or equivalent
type.
5. Always insert battery correctly with regard to the
polarities (

and
–
) marked on the battery and the battery
compartment.
6. Swallowed batteries are lethal. Keep batteries out of
reach of children and pets. Immediately ask for medical
assistance if a battery is swallowed.
7. Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult
supervision.
8. Exhausted battery should be immediately removed from
equipment and properly disposed of.
9. Remove the battery if you will not be using the appliance
for an extended period of time.
10. Batteries shall be stored in well-ventilated, dry and cool
conditions.
11. Do not ingest the battery, Chemical Burn Hazard.
12. If the coin / button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause
severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.
13. If the battery compartment cover does not close securely,
stop using the appliance and keep it away from children.
14. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed
inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical
attention.
