vacuum. Just install the gauge tube in
the vacuum system.
To change the current configuration:

With the AVC module still
plugged into either a DV-4 or DV-6 tube
and the tube still at atmospheric
pressure, turn the MODEL 4/6
OFF
.

Press and hold the push button
and turn the MODEL 4/6
ON
. As soon
as the power is ON, release the push
button. The display will read 8888
3.2.10
Press and release the push button
within 5 sec. The display will read the
program code. For example “A_2.0” or
higher.
3.2.11
Press and release the push button
again within 5 sec. The display will read
“rSEt”. Press and release again within 5
sec. to reset the original factory
calibration. (If you have made a custom
calibration, do nothing and the display
will advance to the next mode in about 5
sec. leaving your custom calibration in
memory.)
3.2.12
When the program has advanced
to next mode, the display will read either
“torr” or “hPA” (millibar). If the
pressure units are correct do nothing and
the display will automatically advance to
the next mode in about 5 sec. If you
wish to change the pressure units, press
and release the push button within 5 sec.
The new pressure units will be displayed
and in about 5 sec. the display will
advance to the next program mode.
3.2.13
When the program has advanced
to the next mode, the display will read
either “d-4”, “d-6”, d-4C”, or “d-6C”
(NOTE: The d-4 and d-6 settings are not
used with the AVC module.) If the tube
setting is correct, do nothing and the
display will automatically advance to the
next mode in about 5 sec. If you wish to
change the tube setting, press and release
the push button within 5 sec. until the
correct tube setting is displayed. In
about 5 sec. the display will advance to
the next program mode.
DO NOT PRESS THE MODE
SWITCH AGAIN UNTIL THE
MODEL 4/6 RETURNS TO THE
MEASUREMENT MODE AND
READS “_or_”.
This takes about 50 seconds.
NOTE
: The remaining modes,
CAL.H
and
CAL.L
are for calibration and could
change the calibration if the tube is at
atmospheric pressure.
3.3 INSTALLING
VACUUM
GAUGE
TUBE
The Vacuum Gauge Tube is a
required
accessory
because of the wide variety of
tubes that can be used.
3.3.1
The vacuum gauge tube is
shipped with a protective cap covering
the evacuation port to keep the
thermopile elements clean and free from
physical damage. Remove the protective
cap prior to installing the tube.
3.3.2
The vacuum gauge tube can be
mounted in any position without
affecting calibration. The recommended
position is with the tube vertical and the
stem down so that condensable vapors
do not collect in the tube.

Most tubes will have a 1/8” NPT
threaded stem. This should be screwed
