LG North America
Direct-to-TV installations with LG displays requires a TeleAdapt Protocol
Converter Dongle (PCD), part number TA-8700-A01.
What You Will Need:
- TA-7650 or TA-7650/TA-7500L
MediaHub HD Connectivity Panel
Power Supply Cable
(Note: MediaHub with Power/Data Extender model includes
TWO power supplies – one for media panel and one for power panel)
Ethernet Cable (for MediaHub with Power/Data Extender model only)
- MediaHub Cable Kit
HDMI Cable (3m)
- PCD – TA-8700-A01
Protocol Converter Dongle
MediaHub Cable (DB9-RJ11) CAB-0502D60
RJP Cable (RJ45-RJ45) CAB-0504D60 (for installations using RJP)
RS232 Cable (DB9-RJ11) CAB-0502D60 (for installations using RS232)
USB Cable (RJ45-USB) CAB-0507XDX (for installations using RS232)
- LG Hospitality TV with remote control
For LG hospitality displays using the RJP Port (recommended)
To install MediaHub and PCD using the RJP interface, follow the cable
connection diagram in Figure 1 to the left.
MediaHub DIP Mode B0: UP-DWN-UP-UP DWN-DWN-DWN-DWN
PCD DIP Mode: UP-DWN
Configure TV*: With LG remote control, enter the menu by pressing
<MENU> at least five times, until TV no longer responds, then press <9>,
<8>, <7>, <6>, <ENTER>. Ensure the following is selected:
Item 040 CAMPORT = 00
Item 093 RJP AVAIL = 1
*Special note: If connecting to an LG TV with an internal LodgeNet configuration (terminal
card) and your displays have already been authenticated into the LodgeNet system, you will
need to press and hold <MENU> on the ORANGE LodgeNet Installer remote control to
unlock the LodgeNet mode BEFORE entering the LG TV hotel menu, as noted above.
