3   First time installation 

When all the connections on the receiver are ready and the AC main lead is plugged in, the receiver should 
start up automatically. If this does not happen, press the 

ON/OFF

button on the front panel or on the remote 

control. A welcome menu will be displayed where you can set the menu and audio languages (point 1), the 
channels search parameters (points 2 and 3): 
1. 

OSD Language

: use the arrows keys 

/

 to select the preferred language. The menu language will be 

the chosen language. Press the arrows key 

/

 to go to the next item. 

2. 

Country Setting

: use the arrows keys 

/

 to select the preferred language. The menu language will be 

the chosen language. Press the arrows key 

/

 to go to the next item. 

CAUTION 

A wronged country setting involves that during automatic channel scan may not be detected all the channels availables. 

3. 

Channel Search

: Select the arrow key 

 to start the automatic search of channels. To wait till the 

search has finished. To confirm press the OK key. 

CAUTION 

The receiver use as default the logical channel numbering (LCN). Therefore, after the scanning, the channels will be 
positioned in the list with broadcaster order. 
If the user needs to disable that function, please enter the system configuration menu with MENU and change the LCN to 
Off. After LCN deactivation will be necessary to memorize again the channels..

Time setting:

 on viewing mode press MENU key and select 

Time

 submenu (par. 4.3). It is possible to 

set the corrected time. To save the setting press OK. 

4 Receiver settings 

The first time installation procedure (chapter 3) will allow the receiver to be used with its basic functions. 
However the receiver offers many more advanced features and options that are illustrated in the following 
sections. 

4.1 Password 

To modify some settings and view certain channels a password (PIN code) has to be entered. The factory 
password is “

000000

” (six zeros) but it could be changed by pressing MENU and selecting the submenu

and then

CAUTION 

Please keep the PIN code in a safe place. If you forget the PIN please use the universal code 

650200

 to access to the 

menu 

Set password

 and to digit a new one. 

Some submenus could be blocked by factory setting (manual and automatic search channel submenu for example).

 

It is possible also to define the age limit into submenu 

Parental Control

. The receiver will use the age limit to 

block with PIN request the channels that signal an upper age level. 

4.2 Channel scan 

The first time installation procedure perform an automatic channels search and save any channels available 
at that moment. However later channel searches may become necessary if, for instance, a new channel 
becomes available or when an existing channel changes frequency. To access this function press MENU on 
the remote control and select 

Channel Search

. One of the three following options could be selected: 

1. 

Manual full search

: a full scan of all digital terrestrial channels received in the area by your antenna.  

CAUTION 

When a new automatic scan is run, the existing channel list will be lost.  

2. 

Manual single search 

(only for expert users

): into this menu you can perform a single frequency scan. 

Use the arrows 

/

 to select the frequency to scan and press OK to confirm.  

3. 

Automatic full search

: the receiver is set to perform a full scan by itself. The new channels will be 

signalled to the user to memorize them. 

4.3 Time setting 

To access this function into viewing mode press the MENU key on the remote control and open the submenu

. There are two setting available into submenu: 

 

Time Offset = Manual

: this the manual setting of time by user. To set the Time Offset on manual. After to 

use Time Zone submenu to set the corrected time deflection from global time reference of Greenwich 
Mean Time GMT. The deflection of Italy, Rome, for example is +1 during winter time. 

 

Time Offset = Auto

:: indicate the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) time zone. E.g.: Italy has a time zone of 

+1 hour (

GMT+01:00

). Press OK button to save the changes. 

CAUTION 

Some digital terrestrial services transmit information like EPG and time are strictly linked to the precise time setting of the 
receiver. If the information is not displayed correctly, the problem is not caused by the receiver.
