The FM 400 series gives the possibility of memorizing remote controls directly in
the receiver without having to manually operate it as described in the previous
chapter.
To do so it is necessary to have at least a functioning 4 channels remote control
which has already been memorized in the receiver using the procedure described
above.
The operations described below must be carried out observing the times
specified.
1 – Press together all 4 buttons of the already memorized remote control, for at
least 3 seconds.
2 – Release the C5 button and within 2 seconds press shortly, on the same
remote control, the button which is already memorized in the receiver (example:
C1)
3 – Within 2 seconds press the button on the remote control which has to be
memorized in the receiver.
If necessary repeat the procedure also for the other buttons.
On the receiver it is also possible to disable the remote programming function by
closing the JP1 jumper (fig. 1).
REMOTE SELF-LEARNING (for the FM400 series only)
HOW TO DELETE CODES
24
1. How to delete a code.
With this operation one or more codes may be deleted from the receiver memory.
- During the programming stage, press the P button 4 times.
- The LED corresponding to the button will emit 5 series of 4 blinks.
- During this stage transmit using the remote control that has to be deleted.
The LED will light up steadily for a few seconds indicating that the delete procedure
has been successfully completed.
2. How to delete all codes (reset)
If the device is reset, the receiver memory is deleted entirely.
- Keep the P1 button in fig.1 pressed for at least 10 seconds until the LEDs of both
buttons light up simultaneously. After a few seconds the LEDs will go off, indicating
that the delete procedure has been successfully completed.
- Repeat the learning procedure.
25
The LED on the receiver gives a longer blink to confirm that it has been
memorized correctly.
Repeat the self-learning operation for any other transmitters.
Self-learning of codes for operation of output 2
This output (second channel) may not be available in some control unit models.
There are three different learning procedures, each of which assigns a different
operating mode:
1) PULSE mode
: the output is only active during radio transmission.
- Press button P2 (fig.1) quickly on the receiver.
- LED L2 blinks 5 times.
- During the blinks, press the key of the code to be memorized on the transmitter.
The LED on the receiver gives a longer blink to confirm that it has been
memorized correctly.
Repeat the self-learning operation for any other transmitters.
2)STEP/STEP mode
; the first transmission activates the output (ON) and the next
one deactivates it (OFF).
- During programming, press key P2 (fig. 1) twice.
- LED L2 will blink twice, 5 times.
-During the blinks, press the key of the code to be memorized on the transmitter.
- The LED remains on steadily for a few moments to confirm that the learning
procedure has been successful.
If the power supply fails with the output activated, it is deactivated.
3)TIMER MODE:
after release of the transmission button, the output remains on
for 30”.
- During programming, press key P2 (fig. 1) three times.
- LED L2 will emit 5 sets of 3 blinks.
- LED L2 remains on steadily for a few moments to confirm that the learning
procedure has been successful. The output relating to key P2 is now operational
in timer mode.
With the NOIRE and FM400 software and the relative programmers, the timer
time setting can be programmed from 1 to 255 seconds.
