The Amplitude control panel provides access to power-related settings that are used by all displays within
the RSA6100A application.
Setting
Description
Internal Settings (see
page 307) Sets the parameters that control the acquisition of the signal.
External Gain/Loss Correction
(see page 310) Speci fi es whether a correction is applied to the signal to compensate for the use of
external equipment.
External Probe Correction (see
page 314) Speci fi es whether a correction is applied to the signal if the analyzer detects a probe is
connected to the instrument. (Probes are connected to the analyzer through the RTPA2A
Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer TekConnect Probe Adapter.)

Internal Settings Tab
On the Internal Settings tab, you can specify the Reference Level for the spectrum analyzer’s RF front
end, the settings for the internal attenuator, enable/disable the internal preamp (Option 01, if installed),
and specify the RF & IF Optimization.
