11. Press the Menu button and the front panel will display the following message:
000.000.000.000
Increment Shift Select
Note
The IP address displayed on your printer may
be a different address. Do not set the IP
address to 000.000.000.000 since this will
cause the printer to use Dynamic Address
Resolution to set its IP address (refer to the
Tektronix System Administrator manual for
details).
12. Press the
Increment
button to set the left-most digit of the address.
13. Press the
Shift
button to advance to the next digit. Press the
Increment
button
to set this digit.
14. Use the Shift and Increment button to set the remaining digits of the IP address.
15. When the IP address is correctly set, press the
Select
button to enter your
settings into the printer. The front panel displays the following message:
Confirm Selection

16. Press the
Confirm
button to confirm your selection.
•
If the selection is a valid number, the front panel briefly displays Selected,
and then returns to the address display. Press the
Exit
button to return to the
display of the parameter name, then press the right (=>) arrow button to
display the name of the next addressing parameter.

If the selection is not a valid number, the front panel briefly displays Error,
and then returns to the address display. Repeat Steps 12 through 15 to set the
address correctly.
Note
If you do not want to confirm your selection,
press the
Exit
button to return to the address
display and try again.
17. Enter the following in a shelltool to confirm that you can “ping” the printer type:
ping teksc
(printer name is identified in /etc/hosts file)
