Functional Check and Calibration
DC Calibration Fixture
The DC calibration fi xture is shipped with
the probe and is used to automatically check
and adjust the probe gain and offset to the
connected oscilloscope channel.
1. The fi xture is powered and automated
by a TekConnect control box adapter
that connects to the oscilloscope Aux In
connector.
2. Output connectors on the fi xture board
accommodate the coaxial adapters and
solder tips that are used with the probe.
3. The Probe Cal signal from the front panel
of the oscilloscope connects through a
cable to the BNC connector on the
fi xture.
A BNC cable is included with the probe.
Fixture Notes.
The control box should be connected to the fi xture before it is connected to the oscilloscope. Although any input
channel can be used, using the Aux In channel allows channels 1–4 to be used for the calibrated probe(s).
WARNING. To avoid damaging the fi xture, only apply power to the fi xture when it is on a fl at, nonconductive surface. The bottom
of the fi xture board contains exposed circuitry.
