Check the power supply plug and socket frequently to make sure that they
have good, reliable contact and are well grounded without overheating.
If the heater is not going to be used for a long time, especially in the regions
with low temperatures (lower than 0
℃
), in order to prevent the heater being
damaged due to the freezing of water in the inner container, the water
inside the heater shall be drained away (refer to Item 9, Cautions of this
manual for the method to drain away the water inside the inner container).
The recommended water hardness for an optimum working performance of
the water heater should not exceed 120 mg/l of CaCo3 (Calcium Carbon-
ate). In case of exceeding this quantity, it is recommended to use alterna-
tive decalcifying systems (You can check your local water hardness in the
Water Board of you local Town Hall.) Should there be any failures due to
the deposits originated by the water quality, will not be covered by the guar-
antee.
To guarantee the long-term durability and efficiency of your water heater, it
is recommended to clean its inner tank and the deposits in the heating com-
ponents on a regular basis.
It is also recommended to check the magnesium anode periodically
(minimum once a year or every six months depending on the water
hardness).
If the magnesium anode of your water tank is worn out due to the deposits
originated by the water quality, the After Sales Service will have to replace
it by a new one. The cost of the materials of the replacement of the magne-
sium anode will be covered within the guarantee period, however, the cost
of the workforce or services for this replacement will not be included.
It is recommended to clean the surface of the water heater with soapy
water, never use abrasive products or solvents.
During the guarantee period, the maintenance will be done by Teka´s
Official After Sales Service. Any services undertaken by non-Teka Official
After Sales services will be excluded from the guarantee.
