Carefully read the information given in this manual: this will

assure proper installation and use, so that Your appliance

can be perfect and efficient over the years. The drawings,

installation diagrams and tables in this manual are provided

just as a guide and are intended for information purposes

only. Electric connections shall be carried out in compliance

with the national standards in force. This appliance com-

plies with the requirements specified in the EC Directive  no.

87/308/EEC dated 2.6.87 (adopted with M.D. dated  13.4.89)

related to radio- frequency interference, no. 89/336 related

to electromagnetic compatibility and no. 73/23 related to

low voltage.

  SAFETY

A)

The electrical system features an earth connection in

compliance with international safety standards; further-

more, it is compliant with the European standard for electro-

magnetic compatibility.

B)

Make sure the mains voltage corresponds to the values

on the rating plate located inside the range hood.

C)

Never cook on “open” flames under the range hood.

D)

Check deep-fryers during use: superheated oil may be

flammable.

E)

Ensure there is adequate ventilation of the room when

the rangehood is used at the same time as appliances burn-

ing gas or other fuels.

F)

Do not flambe under the rangehood.

G)

The exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue which

is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or

other fuels.

H)

Ensure that all regulations concerning the discharge of

exhaust air have been fulfilled before you use the appliance.

I)   For the various installations use screws and screw an-

chors suited to the type of wall (e.g. reinforced concrete,

plasterboard, etc.). If the screws and screw anchors are

provided with the product, check that they are suitable

for the type of wall on which the hood is to be fixed.

J)   This appliance is not intended for use by persons (in-

cluding children) with reduced physical, sensory or men-

tal capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,

unless they have been given supervision or instruction

concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible

for their safety.

K)  Children should be supervised to ensure that they do

not play with the appliance.

L)  WARNING! Accessible parts may become hot.

M) There is a risk of fi re if cleaning is not carried out in

accordance with the instructions

N)

Take care when the cooker hood is operating simulta-

neously with an open fi replace or burner that depend on

the air in the environment and are supplied by other than

electrical energy, as the cooker hood removes the air from

the environment which a burner or fi replace need for com-

bustion. The negative pressure in the environment must not

exceed 4Pa (4x10-5 bar). Provide adequate ventilation in the

environment for a safe operation of the cooker hood. Follow

the local laws applicable for external air evacuation.

The European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Elec-

trical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires

that old household electrical appliances must not

be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal

waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in

order to optimise the recovery and recycling of the materials

they contain and reduce the impact on human health and
