Summary for everyday use

Switching on and off

>

Switch the receiver on by pressing the 

On/Standby

key on the front panel of the

receiver, or on the remote control unit.

>

Press the key again, either on the front panel of the receiver or on the remote control,
to switch the receiver off.

>

The receiver is now in standby mode, and the display will show the current time.

Selecting a programme/channel

Using the up/down arrow keys:
>

You may use the 

up/down arrow

keys, either on the receiver or on the remote con-

trol, to move up or down the selected programmes/channels one step at a time.

Using the numeric key pad:
>

Use the 

numeric keys

to directly enter the number of the programme/channel you

wish to view. For instance

for programme slot 1

1

, then 

4

for programme slot 14

2

, then 

3

, then 

4

for programme slot 234

When entering programme/channel numbers with more than one digit, you have approx. 3
seconds after pressing the last key to continue with the entry.
If you are entering a channel number with only one or two digits, we recommend you press
the 

OK

key after entering the digit(s) in order to speed up the process. 

Using the programme/channel list:

Press the key 

OK

A list of programmes will be displayed.

When operating in TV mode, a list of TV programmes only will be displayed, when operating
in Radio mode, a list of radio programmes only will be displayed. The programme/channel
currently selected will be displayed in red.
>

You can now proceed to select a programme by using the 

up/down arrow

keys;

the selected programme will be displayed in blue.

>

Press the 

OK

key for the selected programme to be viewed.

>

The 

up/down arrow

keys allow you to scroll through the programme list one entry

at a time.

>

The 

left/right arrow

keys allow you to page through the programme list one page

at a time.

Volume adjustment

You have the facility to adjust the volume directly in your receiver, as opposed to adjusting
this via your TV set controls. This makes operation even more convenient, as you now have
all important functions combined on one remote control unit, and will have to use the remote
control of your TV set only very rarely.

key to increase the volume of your receiver, and the

key to reduce the sound volume.

Press the 

Sound on/off

key to mute the sound completely. Pressing the same key

again will restore the sound.
