ces of electromagnetic interference • Do not connect to the building’s earthing • Select
a good, dry, easily accessible place • Energy-saving mode (display off)

Installation
General installation instructions
Ö
Observe the environmental conditions!
Ö
Note the cable lengths: Volume measuring section: max. 10 m (use shielded cable),
temperature sensor: max. 10 m.
Securing the computer unit on the wall
Install the computer unit on the wall with the enclosed mounting material.
Installing the temperature sensors
!
Temperature sensors must only be installed as they have been delivered. The
cables may neither be shortened nor extended.
•
The temperature sensor type (Pt 500) must agree with the specifications on the name
plate of the computer unit.
•
Do not lay the temperature sensor cable near cable ducts or channels (min. 300mm).
•
The temperature sensors can be installed in special ball valves or immersion pockets
which are authorised for this type of sensor. – Observe the national regulations.
Be careful to install the temperature sensors symmetrically. Preferably directly immer-
sed.
Directly immersed installation
1
Remove the pressure from the sensor installation location
2
Unscrew the closing screw from the special ball valve.
3
Place the enclosed O-Ring on the assembly pin. Only use one O-Ring.
When replacing sensors, replace the old O-Ring with a new one.
4
Using the assembly pin, turn the O-Ring into the bore hole of the screw plug with a
rotating movement.
5
Place the O-Ring in its final position using the other end of the assembly pin.
6
Place the assembly pin with the sleeve end over the temperature sensor as far as it
will go.
7
Position and attach the attachment screw (plastic nut or brass union piece) on the
temperature sensor.
8
Remove the assembly pin from the temperature sensor.
9
Insert the temperature sensor into the ball valve and tighten the union joint
hand-
tight
.
Installation in immersion pockets
•
Sensor immersion pockets are best installed in T-pieces with 45° or 90° angles. In
the process, the tip of the immersion pockets points against the flow direction and is
located in the middle of the flow.
•
Can only be used in combination with approved immersion pockets !
•
Insert the temperature sensor into the immersion pockets as far as it goes
