To Upload the Configuration
1.
Install the “Tech Works MC Configurator” application and open it.
2.
Create a configuration and save the file.
3.
You must copy and rename the file to “mc_host.mccfg” before you install it in the
MC-IP-HOST or it will not read it.
4.
Open the “Tech Works MC System Uploader.exe” program.
5.
Select the IP address of the HOST “172.30.100.2”.
6.
Do Not click on “Connect” or “Erase”
7.
Click “Load File” and select the configuration file “mc_host.mccfg”
8.
Click the “UPLOAD” button to transfer the file.
9.
Once a message “Configuration Transfer Complete” is received, the HOST will
push the update out to the ODC’s and 116’s within about a second or two.
To load Firmware Updates
Once the Initial Firmware is loaded, you can upload future updates by:
1.
Open the “Tech Works MC System Uploader.exe” program.
2.
Click the “Get MC System Info” button. This will show you the IP address of the
Units.
3.
Type in the IP address for the node you are working on.
4.
Click “Connect”.
5.
You should see a re
sponse “Device connected Bootloader Firmware Version: X.X”
in the right window section.
6.
If you do not see this response and the device does not connect, click
“Reset” to
send a signal to the IP address to reboot and invoke the boot loader. You may
have to click
“Connect” again.
7.
Once you see a response of
“Device connected Bootloader Firmware Version:
X.X
”, Click “Load File” and select the Hex file for the product.
8.
Click “Erase” and wait until a response of “Flash Erased” is displayed.
9.
Click “Program” and wait until a response of “Programming completed” is
displayed.
10.
Click “Verify” and wait until a response of “Verification successful DATA Stored
successful”.
11. If verify failed, go to step 7 and repeat this process. Otherwise continue.
12.
Click “Run Application” the unit will then boot into the program and the “It’s Alive”
will be fast flashing.
13.
Click “Get MC System Info” and a response of “IP: 172.30.100.2 MC HOST
Current Version
” should show.
