6.  Place the Power Take Off (PTO) box adjacent with the gearbox opening. When 

inserting the sub-assembly into the gearbox, rotate the gears on the shaft to 

allow them to mesh more easily. 

7.  To secure the arm, push the slideway clamp into the dovetail on the surfacing 

arm and tighten the 2 off 6mm A/F socket head cap screws. 

8.  Finally tighten the 3 off 19mm A/F nuts located on the slideway clamp and the 

4 off heel clamps to secure the surfacing arm. 

9.  When the machine is secure remove the 4 off setting straps. Recheck the jaw 

assemblies. 

WHEN  USING  THE  DTI  TO  SET  THE  MACHINE  ALWAYS  FIT  THE  SETTING 

STRAPS  TO  THE  BASE  ASSEMBLY.  IF  THIS  IS  NOT  POSSIBLE  THE 

MACHINE  MUST  BE  ADEQUATELY  SUPPORTED  BY  OTHER  MEANS  UNTIL 

THE SETTING PROCESS IS COMPLETE 

REFER TO SECTION 3.1 AND FIT THE FALL-STOP KIT OR SIMILAR DEVICE 

IF REQUIRED. 

CHECK  THE  BASE  ASSEMBLY  IS  SECURE  BEFORE  REMOVING  THE
