Clock
Setting the Clock
1.
Start in either AV or TUNER mode (Timer cannot be set in DVD mode).
2.
Press MENU button (Remote Control only) and also press until Clock SETUP Mode is selected.
3.
Press OK, use
to change between 12 and 24 hour mode.
4.
Press OK. When the two hour digits flash, use
to set the hour.
5.
Press OK once more to store into memory when “SAVED” icon flashes.
RDS Functions
Note: RDS Functions are only available in areas which use the RDS system.
RDS (Radio Data System) is a broadcasting service that allows FM stations to send additional information
along with the regular FM radio signal.
This additional information may contain: Station Name, Radio Text, Program Type, Frequency
Displaying RDS Data
When an RDS radio station is received, the RDS icon and station name (if available) will appear in the display.
Change the type of display information by pressing the RDS DISPLAY key repeatedly.
If the display shows
‘NO PS’, this indicates that either the tuned station is not transmitting an RDS signal or that it
is not an RDS station.
Searching for RDS Radio Stations using the Program Type
The following program types can be received by your Radio Tuner : News, Affairs, Info, Sports, Educate, Drama,
Culture, Science, Varied, Pop M, Rock M, M.O.R. (middle of the road music) M, Light M, Classics, Other M

To auto-search for a RDS program type, first select FM radio mode.
2.
Press the RDS SEARCH key repeatedly until the required program type appears on the display.
3.
Press
/
on the Front Panel or
on the remote control (depending on the direction of
search) for about 1 second until auto-search is activated. The search will stop when a radio station with the
same program type is detected. Repeat this step to search for a new RDS radio station.
RDS Clock (Optional)
Some RDS stations may be transmitting a real time clock at an interval of every minute. If the clock time has
not been set manually (‘AM 12:00’ is flashing), the current RDS clock time will be stored automatically.
Note: Real time clock signal will not replace any manually set clock time.
