11. SUPPORT AND SERVICE
This product has been produced under strict quality control and you
can use it worry-free under normal conditions.
If you need any repair, contact the representative from whom you pur-
chased the drive or our technical service depots.
11.1 Warranty period
The free warranty period of this drive is described in the warranty docu-
ment. Be sure to include the warranty with the drive when sending it for
repair if within the warranty period. Refer to the warranty for details.
11.2 Requests for repair
If you think you need a repair, please let us know details about the
defect after checking the corresponding operation in accordance with
the instruction manual.
When you ship or bring the drive to our sales dealer or service depot,
it is most safe to use the original packing box in which the drive was
packed when you purchased it. However, damage incurred during trans-
portation is not covered in the warranty.
If the packing box is not available, pack the drive using the following
method.
1)
Use a corrugated cardboard box, etc. with sufficient margins in
width, depth, and height.
2)
Insert cushioning material around the drive inside the box to pre-
vent damage due to vibrations or shock during transportation.
3)
Attach the warranty within the warranty period.
