The manual cable clamp is available on certain die holders. See Figure 27.

NOTE
The jaws only help locate the cable. They do not lock the cable in place before or during crimping. They allow the cable to
slide in the jaws due to terminal extrusion during crimping.
Operation of the original manual clamp
To load the cable:
1. Press down on the handle to open the jaws.
2. Position the cable.
3. Release the handle and springs will close the jaws.
To unload the cable:
1. Press down on the handle to open the jaws.
2. Remove the cable.
3. Release the handle and springs will close the jaws.
