2. Introduction
F LAS H BACK 2 D E LAY packs our entire de l ay l egacy into a sing l e compact
and affordab l e stompbox that ' s designed for now – and the future.
Our groundbreaking MAS H techno l ogy adds an expression peda l to a wor l d-
c l ass de l ay stompbox that responds to your touch and saves precious
peda l board space – and b l ends the etherea l wor l d of de l ay with the u l timate
in persona l expression. Add the brand-new Crysta l de l ay a l gorithm and two
additiona l T onePrint s l ots, and the soon-to-be l egendary F LAS H BACK 2 D E LAY
brings a wea l th of new dimensiona l ity to your quest for tona l perfection !
2.1 Unpacking
Your T C E L E C T RON I C effect peda l box shou l d contain the fo ll owing items:
• Your T C E L E C T RON I C effect peda l
• 1 USB cab l e ( T ype A to Mini-B)
• 1 T C E L E C T RON I C sticker
I nspect a ll items for signs of transit damage. I n the un l ike l y event of transit
damage, inform the carrier and supp l ier. I f damage has occurred, keep a ll
packaging, as it can be used as evidence of excessive hand l ing force.
2.2 True Bypass
H ere at T C, we have a simp l e phi l osophy: When you are using one of our products,
you shou l d hear something great – and when it’s off, you shou l dn’t hear it at a ll .
T his is why this peda l sports T rue Bypass. When it is bypassed, it is rea ll y off and
as zero inf l uence on your tone, resu l ting in optimum c l arity and zero l oss of
high end.
Sometimes, it is advisab l e to switch an effect peda l from T rue Bypass to Buffered
Bypass mode. F or more information, see “6 .2 Switching the peda l from
T rue Bypass to Buffered Bypass ”
2.3 Setting up
Connect a 9 V power supp l y with the fo ll owing symbo l to the DC input socket of
your T C E L E C T RON I C effect peda l .
This product does not come with a power supply.
We recommend using TC ELECTRONIC’s PowerPlug 9
(sold separately).
• • I f no power supp l y is avai l ab l e, you can run this product using a battery.
F or more information on changing batteries, see “7 .2 Changing the battery ” .
• • P l ug the power supp l y into a power out l et.
• • Connect your instrument to the in jack on the right side of the peda l using a
¼ " jack cab l e.
• • Connect the out jack on the l eft side of the peda l to your amp l ifier using a
¼ " jack cab l e.

using the TonePrint app
Being ab l e to virtua ll y rewire your T C El ectronic eff ect peda l wou l dn’t be much
use if you needed a l ot of extra equipment to do it. T his is why we created the
T onePrint app. T he T onePrint app is free software for popu l ar smartphones that
a ll ows you to “ beam ” new T onePrints right into your eff ect peda l whenever and
wherever you fee l l ike it.
