Press MENU keys to enter page 3.

Attack

The Attack time is the time the Compressor uses to reach the

gain reduction speciefied by the Ratio parameter set in page 2.

Use the ADJUST wheel to change the Attack time of the five

bands.

Hold

After the signal has dropped below Threshold, the Hold

parameter can be used to sustain the signal before it is released.

The range is 10-200ms

Release

Release sets the fall-back time of the Compressor, after the signal

drops below the Threshold.

Crest

This parameter determines whether the compressor should react

to peaks, RMS (average), or something in between. For example

if the Crest parameter is set at 6dB, the Compressor is reacting to

RMS values and to peaks 6dB higher than the current RMS

value.

Page 4 - Cross-over Menu

Press MENU keys to enter the Cross-over
frequency page (Xovr)

Cross-over point 1-4

Cross-over frequencies may be altered on the last page of the

Expander, Compressor and Limiter, but they are identical in all

three blocks.

Two different filter structures are available:

- SYM with soft slopes

- MID with higher order middle band focused filter slopes.

The MID setting is designed specifically for low intermodulation

between the bands, but if you want to emulate the TC Finalizer,

you should use a 3-band structure and a SYM slope setting.

Number of Bands

On the Cross-over page, outer bands may be turned off by

turning the cross-over points all the way up or down.

When a structure of less than 5 bands is used, the bands are also

removed from the graphic display.

Slope Types

Two different filter structures are available. SYM with soft slopes

and MID with higher order middle band focused filter slopes.

Cross-over frequency

Sets the Cross-over frequency for the selected Cross-over point.

Cross-over point

With Cross-over points 1-4 you set the Cross-over points

between the five bands in the dynamics section.

Note: The Cross-over points are common for the Compressor,

Limiter and Expander.

Compressor Bypass

Press the gray BLOCK on/off key to bypass the Compressor

section.
