Step 2
–
Installation
•
Place anchors as specified in Fig 1.2.
•
The Edge of Dock Leveller is supplied completely assembled.
•
Remove the steel strips.
•
Place the leveller on the pit edge by using a forklift and hoisting strap.
•
Weld into place.
•
Place the leveller in a vertical position and secure it in this position using the
operating hand lever (see Fig 2.1).
•
Fit the rubber bumpers. If the dock is provided with a pit, then the bumpers are
fitted directly to the front by anchor bolts. If the dock face has a steel mounting
edge, the bumpers are provided with steel supports. Fit the supports to the front
of the dock with anchor bolts placed at the bottom and weld the supports to the
top of the dock edge.
•
Brush all welds clean and apply a primer and finishing coat.
•
Fasten the holder for the operating lever at an appropriate spot for operators.
