Power Steering and Brakes
The hydraulic power system is active only while
the start switch is ON and a direction is selected
with the shift lever.
The hydraulic power system will turn off if any of
the following occur:
•
Start switch turned OFF.
•
Emergency Power Off switch is activated.
•
Battery is disconnected.
•
Serious control system fault.
•
Shift lever placed in the OFF position.
If the hydraulic system turns off, then the effort
required to steer the vehicle will immediately and significantly increase and the hydraulic braking
system will have one to three operations of the brake pedal in reserve.
Should the hydraulic system turn off while driving:
•
Immediately release the throttle pedal.
•
Carefully steer to the side of the road.
•
Brake to a complete stop.
•
Apply the parking brake.
•
Turn the start switch OFF.
Do not attempt to drive the vehicle untill the hydraulic system has been repaired.
This vehicle is equipped with power
hydraulic steering and power hydraulic
assist brakes. If the hydraulic system
is not working, then significantly more
effort will be required to steer and stop
the vehicle. This may make the vehicle
difficult to control at higher speeds
resulting in property damage and/or
severe bodily injury.
