If the appliance needs to be drained for maintenance or to protect the whole installation when there is a
risk of frost, proceed as follows:

Close the shut-off valve in the cold water line.

Drain the appliance by opening the shut-off valve at the safety valve.

Check the protective anode after the first year of use and replace if necessary.
