For safety reasons, all previously mentioned checks must be
conducted when the tractor and chopper are stopped.

From the driving seat area get familiar with the driving and
manoeuvring controls already explained in section 2.

The chopper operator shall taken into consideration at all times, the
following safety recommendations:
The chopper should be handled by only one person, who
will coordinate the actions of others or machines should
their intervention be required.
The driver of the tractor must avoid at all times the presence
of unauthorized persons in the vicinity of the working area
of the chopper.

Start the tractor and engage PTO.

Operate all moving parts of the chopper to become familiar with its
operation: moving floor and discharge chute.
On working the hydraulic controls ensure that they are
brought to their detent positioning point to avoid
excessive overheating of the oil that may damage the
hydraulic installation.

Check that the moveable parts of the machine work correctly when
empty, and that no noise can be heard to denote a lack of grease, oil or
the incorrect tightening of tensioners or bolts.
Before leaving the factory the machine is tested on empty
and all the levels and mechanisms are checked so as to
guarantee the correct working of the same.

The machine should then be manoeuvred empty, turning to the right
and to the left checking that nothing unusual occurs during driving.
Following the previous instructions, the operator should be sufficiently
confident in the use of the machines. Working with the machine and
obtaining its maximum yield, will be reached when hours of work and
experience have been accumulated by the operator.
3.2.
LOADING THE CHOPPER
In any straw chopper model, loading is carried out by a suitable auxiliary
vehicle for such operations, placing the product directly onto the tailgate.
The chopper should be handled by only one person, who
will coordinate the actions of others or machines should
their intervention be required.
The driver of the tractor must avoid at all times the
presence of unauthorized persons in the vicinity of the
working area of the chopper.
The main components of the charging system will be described and the
steps to follow to properly and safely use each method will be indicated.
During the loading process, the recommendations and safety warnings
in this section and throughout the manual will be respected at all times.
