Air Conditioning ON/OFF Switch
The air conditioning ON/OFF Switch is located on the HVAC control panel.
Press the switch to engage the air conditioning compressor and increase the
cooling performance of the HVAC system. This is also helpful when defrosting/
defogging the windshield because of high air humidity.
The switch contains an indicator lamp to show when the air conditioning switch
is on the “ON” position. The blower motor must be running for the indicator
lamp to illuminate.
Air Recirculation Switch
The air recirculation switch toggles the HVAC system circulation mode between
“Fresh Air” and “Recirculation”. When the switch is on Recirculation mode, the
indicator lamp in the switch will illuminate.
Fresh Air -
When the switch is in “Fresh Air” mode, the HVAC system draws air
from outside the vehicle and into the vehicle cabin. The indicator on the switch
will be off. This allows the air inside the vehicle cabin to be fresh.
Recirculation -
When the switch is in “Recirculation” mode, the HVAC system
circulates the inside the vehicle cabin. Recirculation mode is useful when:
Driving through dusty conditions
To avoid breathing polluted air
To increase the speed the air in the cabin is cooled or heated

NOTE
Air conditioning system operation decreases vehicle fuel efficiency.
The compressor cycles on and off automatically to maintain
desired temperature set by the temperature control dial.
The compressor will automatically cycle off when the vehicle
overheats to protect the engine from damage.
