When dialing number 123478 on an H323 Endpoint, one is connected to
an IVR service, from which an H323 endpoint number can be entered.

Dial Extension (IVR) Dial Plan Examples
Interactive Video Response (IVR), also called
extension dial-in, is an automated answering
system that directs the call to the IP endpoint
indicated by the caller. The caller uses
telephone tones (DTMF) to enter the H.323/
SIP alias or extension.
An example shall be provided:
An endpoint user calls a Dial Extension

service number.
The Video Portal activates the

picture and sound.
The endpoint user enters the extension

(H.323/SIP alias) followed by the # (pound-
sign) to indicate end of number.
The Video Portal starts to call the endpoint
