Air cleaner maintenance
A dirty air filter will increase air intake restriction. Periodic maintenance of air cleaner will help to improve
engine performance and reduce emissions.
WARNING
Never clean air filter with gasoline or an easily ignited solvent . It may cause explosion.
CAUTION
：
Operating the engine without an air filter or with a damaged air filter, will allow dirt to enter the
engine, causing rapid engine wear. This type of damage is not covered by the Distributor.
To replace high intake paper air filter:
a. Remove air filter housing cover by turning anticlockwise.
b. Remove old paper filer and dispose of properly.
c. Insert new filter into housing so that the end with the opening fits over the lower housing tube.
d. Replace cover.Ensure cover is locked in place.
