The float switch must be able to move freely while the pump is running. Therefore, the
recommended dimensions of thepit are 40 x 40 cm.
It is absolutely necessary to protect the pump from freezing. If temperature falls below the
freezing point, remove the pump from the liquid to be sucked and store it in a safe place
where it cannot freeze.
It is advisable to periodically verify that there is no accumulated dirt in the collection pit
(leaves, sand, etc.)
Protection against overload conditions
The pump is equipped with a thermal overload protector. If the motor overheats, the thermal
protector automatically stops thepump. The cooling time is around 15-20 min, after which the
pump is automatically restarted. After the enabling of the thermal protector, it is absolutely
necessary to search for the cause and eliminate it. Refer to Troubleshooting.

pump from thepower supply (by removing the plug from the socket)
.
Fault Causes
Solutions
The pump does not
run.
Power cord unplugged.
Impeller jammed.
Floatswitch does not work.
Plug cord securely into the socket and
check if there isvoltage on the line.
Disconnect the power cord,
disassemble hydraulicpart and check if
impeller is free to run.
Check it by lifting the float switch by
hand.
The pump runs but
doesnot deliver water.
Water level under the suction
minimum.
Air bubble in the pump,produced
during the plunge.
Suction filter clogged.
Discharge tube clogged or
obstructed.
Stop the pump.
Get the air out by plunging again the
pump while in atilted position and
shake it with the discharge tube open.
Disconnect the power cord, clean the
hydraulic part.
Take off the tube and clean it.
The pump stops
runningautomatically.
The thermal overload pro-
tection system stopped thepump.
A foreign object has jammed the
hydraulicinstallation.The pump
wasused in hot water.
The pump ran dry.
Disconnect the power cord, correct the
reason for over-heating; then wait until
the pump is cooled, plug thecord and
resume operation.
