Setup with Cough Drop
1. Return to the communication app,
Cough Drop
.
Tap on the
User icon
in the top right corner >
Exit Speak Mode
>
User Icon
>
Preferences
. Scroll to and tap on
Scanning Settings
.
Check “Enable switch-activated scanning.”
2. Select your preferred Scanning Mode from the drop-down menu (Row-
Based, Column-Based, Button-Based, Region-Based, Axis-Based).
3. Check the box next to Scanning Start. Scanning will not start until a
switch is pressed.

Adjust Scanning Interval
:
a. Single-switch scanning: Adjust timing with the + or – signs for auto-
scan timing.
b. Two-switch scanning: Adjust the Scanning Interval to 0.

Assign Scanning Key(s)
:
a. Single-switch Scanning: Tap the box next to Scanning “Select” Key
and then activate the switch connected to Port 1.
b. Two-switch Scanning: Tap the box next to Scanning “Select” Key
and then activate the switch connected to Port 1. Then, tap the box
next to Scanning “Next” Key and activate the switch connected to
Port 2.
6. If desired, adjust other settings to your preference.
7. Scroll to
Save Preferences
> return to your
Home Board
